ABOUT

With a multi-year grant from the Vancouver Foundation, STEPS Forward: BC initiative for Inclusive Post-Secondary Education (BC-IPSE) has embarked on a 3 year project to scale the impact of Inclusive Post-Secondary Education (IPSE) beyond campus communities. This project will enable us to raise awareness and knowledge about equitable IPSE in BC. Building on the success of IPSE in BC and the underlying commitment to supporting equitable and inclusive education, the SCAPE project seeks to open up opportunities for students with developmental disabilities to become embedded in the normative pathways that already exist for primary and secondary students, without developmental disabilities, to plan for and successfully pursue
university or college.

This work aligns with the Ministry of Education's Vision for Student Success which highlights the importance of every learner to maximize their individual potential as a key principle for student success.
